Violence is not the answer. NPR article response.

“If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” [Trump] said.

FALSE. The US Military does not “solve,” anything, look at our track record of 30 years in Iraq and that also debunks the “quickly,” aspect. The only thing it bears quickly is overwhelming violence, which is the WRONG answer in virtually every application.

If you think for a moment that increasing violence is the way to solve the problem, then you suffer from a schoolyard bully mentality. The only acceptable use of military force is tho place them between police and protestors as a human shield from the violence. But that isn’t what is going to happen, it simply preludes to more violence.

Do not look to those trained in things like “urban warfare,” to cause peace. It would be a laughable notion if it wasn’t carrying such tragic weigh. Violence has never lead to peace, it leads to a domination which is the problem that caused the protests to begin with. This is about silencing voices and stripping human beings of the freedom of speech and demonstration.
